Derby Tweed Woodstock Deerstalker Hat

£31.96

Synonymous with Sherlock Holmes, the literary hero of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s detective series, the Deerstalker was originally designed, as the name suggests, for those who stalked deer on the moors. Ours is crafted from 60% wool tweed, and finished with ear flaps and a smart grosgrain ribbon.

Outer jacket (shell) is made from 60% wool, 25% polyester, 11% acrylic and 4% composed of other fibres, making this cap of top quality fabric.

Main features are a pair of semicircular visors worn in front and rear, a pair of stiffened cloth earflaps attached to either side of the cap, tied together by grosgrain ribbons. Dual bills provide protection from the sun for the face and neck of the wearer during extended periods out of doors, such as for hunting or fishing. The earflaps, tied under the chin, provide protection in cold weather and high winds. They are otherwise tied together above the crown to keep them out of the way.

Produced to the highest standards by a manufacturer of top quality countrywear and derby clothing. The tweed has been treated with teflon, which acts as a fabric protector, making this product long lasting-lasting protection against oil- and water-based stains, dust and dry soil. Please check our size guide against your cap you wish to purchase.
